(the “Company” or “we”) recognizes the importance of your personal information, and complies with the Act on Promotion of Information and Communication Network Utilization and Information Protection, etc. Through this Privacy Policy (this “Privacy Policy”), we inform you of the purpose and method of using the personal information provided by you and the measures to be taken for the protection of personal information. If this Privacy Policy is amended, the Company will notify thereof on the notice board of website (or through separate notice).

  • Collected items for registration of resume on Adecco Korea website (www.adecco.co.kr): facial picture, name, date of birth, contact information, contact method, address of residence, certification (type of certification or license, issuing authority and date of issuance), foreign language ability (kind of language, fluency, name of examination and score or level), matters regarding military service (military service status, reason for exemption, type of army, service period, branch and rank), disability information, desired terms of employment (desired workplace, occupational group, industry and annual salary), educational background (year/month of entrance, year/month of graduation, school, major and graduation status) and career data (workplace, position, responsible duties, work period, annual salary, reason for resignation and job description)
  • Collected items for request for recruiting at Adecco Korea website (www.adecco.co.kr): name, telephone/mobile phone number, details of request for recruiting and email address

Purposes of Collection and Use of Personal Information

The Company’s website, as a website established to help members in finding jobs and hiring personnel, collects personal information to provide such services appropriate for effective assistance in finding jobs, hiring personnel and career development. The Company uses the collected personal information for the following purposes:

  • User verification and personal identification pursuant to the use of membership services; confirmation of willingness to subscribe; confirmation of membership status; prevention of any fraudulent use of members and unauthorized use; and grievance handling including complaints
  • Notification and contact for various issues including interview, recruitment notice, result of recruitment, etc.
  • Performance of contracts relating service provision; settlement of charges on consulting and service provision; and offering contents including recruitment information
  • Delivery of information on services or advertising information for profit, such as employment information or recruitment information, and use for sales and marketing purposes
  • Provision of various kinds of more effective and customized services, including recruitment information, employment agency, application for employment, etc.; and determination on employment of members
  • Provision of personnel information relating to the requested services, including dispatch of personnel, outsourcing, recruitment by proxy, headhunting, etc.
  • Delivery of various notifications relating to service provision
  • Search for members with the qualifications and similar work experience as required by recruiting companies

Period of Retention and Use of Personal Information

However, if any personal information of member is required to be retained under the applicable laws and regulations, the Company will retain the personal information for the period as prescribed under such applicable laws and regulations as follows:

  • Records on labeling/advertisements: 6 months (the Act on the Consumer Protection in the Electronic Commerce Transactions, etc. (“E-Commerce Act”))
  • Records on contracts or withdrawal of subscription: 5 years (E-Commerce Act)
  • Records on handling of consumer complaints/disputes: 3 years (E-Commerce Act)

Procedures and Method of Destruction of Personal Information

Any information input for membership subscription, etc. will be moved to a separate DB (for papers, a separate document box) and destroyed after being retained for a certain period pursuant to the reason for information protection under the Company’s internal policies and other applicable laws and regulations (please see Period of Retention and Use). Unless otherwise required by applicable laws and regulations, the personal information moved to a separate DB will not be used for purposes other than retaining thereof.

  • Destruction Method

Any personal information stored in the form of electronic file will be destroyed using a technical method which makes the records irreproducible, and any print-out version of personal information will be shredded using a shredder or incinerated.

Rights of Users and Legal Guardians and the Method of Exercising thereof

Users and their legal guardians may, at any time, access to or correct their personal information or personal information of children under 14 and request for withdrawal from membership.

If you want to access to or correct your personal information or personal information of children under 14, you may click “correct personal information” (or “modify member information”), or, if you want to withdraw from membership (withdrawal of consent), you may click “withdraw from membership” to directly access, correct or withdraw from membership after proceeding with the identity verification.

Or, if you contact to a personal information administration manager in writing, by phone or via email, we will take appropriate measures immediately.

If you request us to correct any factual errors in your personal information, we will not use nor provide the information until we complete correction of the error. In the event that wrong personal information has already been provided to a third party, we will correct such errors by immediately notifying the result of correction to such third party.

The personal information which is cancelled or deleted upon the request of users or legal guardians will be managed in accordance with the “Period of Retention and Use of Personal Information” and the information will not be reviewed or used for any other purposes.
