Position Summary
The Purchasing Coordinator, integral to the Procurement team, supports the supply chain management system, necessitating negotiation, communication, data analysis, MRO buying, and expediting skills.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for procuring MROs, commercial off-the-shelf items, and generating outside process POs.
- Generates Request for Quote (RFQ) packages and negotiates price and delivery schedules with vendors.
- Manages projects and monitors critical orders to ensure timely delivery, collaborating closely with the Planning team to meet production requirements.
- Ensures receipt and proper filing of all vendor-requested documents, and provides assistance with shipping, receiving, and other administrative tasks.
Requirements & Skills
- Bachelor’s degree or Higher
- Minimum 9 years or more work experience in relevant field
- Strong Communication and Computer Skills, particularly Microsoft Office
- Industry knowledge or a willingness to learn is advantageous.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team, and English language proficiency is essential.
